WeeklyAbout Nature Tots: At Nature Tots, we invite little explorers aged 0–5, alongside their grown-ups, to discover the wonders of nature. Through playful, hands-on outdoor experiences, we foster curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of the natural world. Together, we create meaningful memories that support children’s emotional, physical, and social development. We are passionate about outdoor play and create spaces that feel safe while offering exciting challenges — from using tools and cooking on the fire to much more. Activities are tailored to children’s ages and interests, meaning every session brings new challenges alongside familiar routines for those who attend regularly.
About the role:
Main tasks:
- Engage with children 0-5 in playful, nature-based activities
- Help the Nature Tots Officer and team set up and tidy up the sessions e.g. packing away equipment; washing up
Skills/qualities we’re looking for:
- Experience of working with young children in a paid or voluntary capacity
- A love of the outdoor and a passion for UK wildlife
- An understanding of the importance of access to outdoor play for all children.
- Knowledge or understanding of early years, playwork principles, informal education, forest school.
- The ability to communicate effectively and relate to people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.
- Patient, approachable and understanding of a child’s needs.
- Enthusiasm and a desire to support children to thrive.
