About the tutor

The workshop will be delivered by Julian John who has been teaching photography and sharing his expertise over a number of years, and loves sharing his enthusiasm and love of photography and nature with his participants.

Q1. I am a complete beginner in photography. Will this course be suitable for me?

Absolutely yes! The workshop will be delivered will lots of helpful guidance, demonstrations and advice in order for you to build your skills and knowledge in manageable steps. You will also be offered individual support, as and when you require.

Q2. How far will we be walking?

We will be completing a guided walk along a trail consisting of approximately 1.5 miles in total. The trail includes some steep sections of path that may be muddy in wet weather. However, you will be free to walk a shorter alternative easy 1-mile route, if preferred. In addition, the alternative trail offers hard surfaced paths for easy access.

Q3. Do I need to bring any equipment with me?

Please bring your camera with you, warm clothing and suitable footwear for the weather conditions.

Q4. Will you be offering more workshops like this?

Yes! We are currently planning similar workshops which will be offered throughout the year and allow you to explore and respond to the country park and arboretum during different seasons.

Mobility

Easy access paths are located at Queenswood with hard surfacing and are suitable for wheelchair users.

Electric Mobility Vehicles are available to borrow (depending on weather conditions). They must be booked at least 24 hours in advance - please call 01432 530088.

What to bring

Please wear suitable clothing for a 1-hour nature walk appropriate to weather conditions. Please also bring a water bottle.

Refreshments can be purchased from the onsite café.

All materials are provided for the art workshop.

There is a pay and display car park on site; parking costs up to £5 per day. Motorcycle Bay. Blue Badge Disabled Parking.

Bicycle parking

Bicycle racks available. Alternatively, the 492 Bus service leaves from both Hereford and Leominster at regular intervals throughout the day and stops at the top of Dinmore Hill, by the entrance to Queenswood.
