Ross branch guided walk: The Ross-on-Wye Arboretum!
Event details
About the event
Over the past few years an astonishing collection of trees have been planted on the recreational areas of Ross along the river and wider. Most are now well labelled - but many are uncommon and interesting. The initiative has been spearheaded by Rob Taylor, who has used all means possible to obtain the widest selection and solicit help with planting and establishing.
Rob was Park Superintendent in Greater London for many years and later taught Horticulture and Arboriculture based from the The National Botanic Garden of Wales
Rob Taylor will lead this 2 hour walk to tell us about the tree genre, why he selected them and how he hopes they will mature.
Meeting point and assembly time, with directions and any other details will be emailed to those with reservations nearer the time.
