About the event

Nic Howes - Volunteer Walk Leader will  guide us through Queenswood, hopefully in full autumnal colour to the viewpoint, where we will learn about the vista and landscape beyond. We will then descend into South Wood where we can view the coppicing work being carried out to manage the woodland. We will  continue on to Burghope Quarry and its outcrop of the unusual Bishops Frome Limestone before returning to the start point. We will spot wildlife along the way and Nic will tell us all about the coppicing operations and the geological landscapes.

Meet outside the visitor's Centre at 09.45AM with the walk starting at 10.00AM

Distance 2 miles, with some steep, potentially muddy ascents and descents. Please where clothing appropriate for the weather , raincoats and sturdy footwear. Bring water and a snack if you would like to.
