WildPlay Thinks Differently
We are delighted to announce our programme connecting children and young people with special educational needs (SEN) to nature through nature based play and new experiences has secured £17,815 from the National Lottery Community Fund to continue the great work for another year.
About the Programme
For many children and young people with SEN, accessing affordable activities that support their needs can be a challenge. We know that spending time in nature is beneficial to mental, emotional and physical wellbeing. Through this programme there will be opportunities to make new friends and socialise with others, have fun in nature, learn new skills, try new things, and build confidence. All done through self-directed activities in a natural and safe setting led by our experienced WildPlay nature rangers.
We are offering a range of sessions in 8 week blocks throughout the year. Sessions are for of 8-12 year olds. Groups will be kept small for maximum interaction and support.
