Survey of Brook Flora and Fauna, Canon Pyon, 10am to 12pm

We’ll be surveying the playing field boundaries, banks of the brook and the adjacent meadow to gather information to support future plans. This will allow us consider ideas such as increasing tree and shrub planting along the western border, widening the stream banks to increase on-line storage during periods of high flow as well as planting of water tolerant plants. Identify non-native and invasive plant species. Family friendly. Organised by Pyons Group Parish Council

Booking via PGPC Website: Pyonsgroupparishcouncil.gov.uk

What Lurks Beneath, Llanishen, 10am - 12pm

Come and find out what's living in the stream at Woolpitch Wood!

Ever wondered what lurks under the rocks in the stream at the bottom of the Wood? Now's your chance to catch, take a look at and find out more about the creatures you find. We will also have a go at testing the water quality and see what impact that has on the creatures you find. For ages 11-16yrs. Organised by Wye Valley National Landscape.
