Visiting Queenswood with your dog

Queenswood Arboretum  and Country Park warmly welcomes responsible dog owners. Please be mindful of the guidelines below to help us ensure that the park is a safe and enjoyable place for all visitors, their animals and the local wildlife.

  • Dogs must be kept under control at all times.
  • Dogs must be on a lead in the car parks, around the Visitor Centre and Cafe, and the picnic area surrounding the playground.
  • No dogs are allowed in the fenced children’s play area.
  • Please clear up your dog’s mess. Dog faeces carry harmful infections including Toxocariasis. Please use the green waste bins which are provided around the Arboretum. Dog poop scoop bags are available free from a dispenser outside the Visitor Centre during normal opening hours.
  • Do not allow your dog to interfere with other visitors (or their dogs) and spoil their visit. You may know your dog is friendly but the person it runs up to may not. If in doubt, please keep your dog on a lead.
  • Dogs must also be kept on a lead in the SSSI North and South Woods.
  • Well behaved, quiet dogs, are welcome in the cafe.
