Nature Action Team

Frances joined the Trust in 2015 and manages our publications, website, media and digital marketing as well as overseeing our nature action work. Always keen to hear your views and nature news! 

Julia is driven by connecting as many people with nature as possible, whether on our own nature reserves or within the wider community.

She joined Herefordshire Wildlife Trust in 2012, initially as a project officer, then a manager focusing on the conservation of traditional orchards and training people with a history of mental ill health in orchard management.

Julia is a strong advocate for nature being accessible to all and during her time with the Trust has built strong relationships within the community to enable this.

She loves being part of a team which understands and promotes how big an impact connecting with nature can have on people’s lives.

Coming from a commercial background, I blend my knowledge of digital marketing and project management to understand the intersection between business and conservation. I am passionate about cultivating connections between business strategies and public engagement to create local impact. I love the intricate world of mycology and am an advocate for sustainable, local food production.

Josie joined Herefordshire Wildlife Trust in 2023 and looks after our Corporate Partnerships, Legacy, In Memoriam and Individual Giving Programmes and Fundraising Appeals. She is always keen to hear about the exciting ways you have been fundraising for The Trust!

Outside of work, she can usually be found outside hiking, climbing or caving.

I have always loved the outdoors and being in nature, so when the opportunity arose to be a fundraiser for my local Wildlife Trust I jumped at the chance. It’s not a revelation to anyone that the natural world is currently suffering a terrible decline in health however not all is doom and gloom. We are all in a position to help and part of my job is to get out there and meet people from all walks of life and inspire them to help and support the wildlife in their local wildlife trust. By encouraging people to explore the beautiful nature reserves we have in our local area, people can see for themselves what beauty is out there and why it’s vital that we all act together to make sure we don’t lose it forever.

Our membership recruiters are employed by South West Wildlife Fundraising Ltd (SWWFL) who are owned by, and work on behalf of, Wildlife Trusts in Avon, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire,
Gwent, Hampshire & Isle of Wight, Herefordshire, Somerset, Wiltshire and Worcestershire.
