Branch Meetings

Details of branch events are correct at time of going to press. Please contact Branch Secretaries to confirm before travelling to events. Anyone taking part in one of the Trust's events should be aware that there may be uneven ground, steps and stiles to negotiate at most venues. Participants are advised to wear stout shoes and bring waterproof clothing. If in any doubt as to whether to join a walk, please contact the leader or branch secretary.

 

MARCH

Thursday 25th & Wednesday 31st March
(What's That Snake? event)
Reptile Awareness Days.
Venue: Richards Castle Village Hall, off B4361 Richards Castle to Overton road. Time: 10:00am - 3:00pm.

The day will be spent both indoors and out, so wear appropriate clothing.
We will look at local snake and lizard identification, habitats and survey
methods, and participants will come away with the knowledge to observe and record reptiles in the wild.

Bring packed lunch, tea and coffee provided. Own transport essential. Booking is essential as numbers are limited. If you are interested in booking and for more information please contact Nigel Hand, What's That Snake? Project Officer, on 01432 356872.

Branch AGM followed by talk ‘Finland through the seasons’ by Philip Mugridge ARPS, wildlife photographer.

 

Saturday 17th April.
Lower House Farm, Tupsley. Annual fritillary and natural history walk over the Lugg Meadow. 10am - 12noon.

Hergest Croft Flower Fair, Kington.
Event in aid of St. Michael's Hospice.

Saturday 15th May
(Kington Branch Spring Fair)
10.30am to 12noon in Kington Market Hall. Stalls for plants, cakes and produce, bric-a-brac and a tombola. Goods for sale may be brought to the hall from 9 am or left at 10, Churchill Road beforehand.

Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th June

The Garden Festival, Hellens Manor House, Much Marcle. The Trust will have a stand on Sunday.

(Event)
Herefordshire Walking Festival 2010. Nine days of walks exploring all aspects of the Herefordshire countryside.

Saturday 17th July

Joint walk with The Friends of Coppett Hill round White Rocks, Miners Rest and Woodside reserves, looking mainly at butterflies and plants. Meet at 2 pm at White Rocks reserve car park SO548157.
