If you are going out there are a few things that it is always worth taking which can make the difference between happy families playing out for several hours and miserable ones in minutes!
- Make sure you are all wearing warm clothing on cold days and can take layers off on hot days.
- If going near streams or out in the wilds take a bit of spare clothing - just in case, and don’t forget to pack your waterproofs!
A few activity assistants:
String
Scissors - kids scissors are
fine and safe to carry point
down in a rucksack or strong
pocket of an adults coat.
Collecting bag
Bug pot
Where Wild Things Play book!
But most of what you need is out there!
- Water bottles and little snacks (incentives for walking that little bit further!)
- Kids love the novelty of carrying their own little rucksacks if you make it an excitement not a chore. You could buy a couple of cheap little ones and fill them with a few things each so they are not too heavy.
We suggest you always take...
- Some loo roll
- Small first aid - bite cream, bandage, plaster
- A camera to record the happy times and any great nature creations!
