ComputerWhen you really can’t get outside to play...
….have a look at these websites

Some will give you even more ideas of what to play when you next go outdoors. Some will help you find out more about the things you discover when you explore nature.

  • www.naturedetectives.org.uk and www.woodland-trust.org.uk/discovery
Here you can download fab things like charts to tell you what flowers are what, play all sorts of nature games or even keep an on line nature journal. At the nature detectives site click onto seasons and then on individual pages for identification sheets on berries, leaves, twigs, buds, flowers, butterflies... all you need to become a nature detective!!
World Wide Fund for Nature – from the home page go to web pages for… kids. This is mostly international wildlife.
The Forestry Commission. They have info on events and activities.
Nature Play - This part of the forestry commission website has some fun ideas on what you can do in the woods... some of its a little bit challenging! hope you enjoy!
ARKive is the Noah's Ark for the Internet era! It has lots of films, photographs and audio recordings of the world's species. If you click on to education, then games there are some fun games to play on your computer that help you to learn more about wildlife- Tripwire of Terror is my favourite!
