Exciting times for outdoor natural play in the early years setting!
The importance for children of all ages to have positive outdoor play experiences is becoming recognised nationally. New and improved curriculum guidelines are also supporting outdoor play for all early years’ settings.
Wildplay provide outreach outdoor play activities for children. More recently we have been working in partnership with North Herefordshire Children’s centres to provide outdoor training to childcare staff. This opportunity has shown us how important this kind of training is, especially linking outdoor play with the Early Years Foundation Stage. In direct response to this we have decided to apply for funding to deliver training courses to early years settings to inspire them to play outdoors with children within their nursery and in local green spaces.
To support our funding bid we need information from Early Years settings to show that this project is needed. If you are involved in an Early Years setting please complete our online questionnaire.
