Assistant Reserves Officer
Based in Hereford, working across the county
Travel Expenses & £500 training budget
Assistant required to carry out woodland management of coppicing and thinning across trust's 50+ reserves, working mainly in lower Wye valley. Also will be required to occasionally lead volunteer groups carrying out practical tasks. Successful applicant will receive formal training & certification in first aid and chainsaw as well as on the job training and valuable experience to get a paid job in conservation.
Able to commit to 3-4 days per week for 4-6 months, no accomodation available so would suit someone within general area. Capable of using power tools & machinery & enjoy working outdoors. Good team working skills & ability to be self-motivated essential. Driving licence essential & experience of practical conservation work highly advantageous.
