Join Reserves Staff for a walk across Lugg Meadow to see the rare snake’s head fritillaries in flower. You will also hear about the history and current management of this historic floodplain ‘Lammas Meadow’ and our current project to increase numbers of breeding curlew at the site.

*Please note: we cannot guarantee exactly when the fritillaries will be in flwer as they vary each year depending on the weather and the flood waters on the meadow. If we have to reschedule or cancel this event we will let you know and offer a refund if required.

Though the going is flat, the meadow can be very damp and the wind cold making the going a little more taxing.
We will be walking on grass, not always paths and the meadow can be damp or muddy in spring so it is not recommended for those with limited mobility and not suitable for wheelchair users.

There is sufficient space to park along the sides of the lane or, if travelling by public trasport, bus number 476 stops close by on the A438
Please note there are no toilets or handwashing facilities at this reserve.
