Herefordshire Nature Trust is happy to recommend Radnorshire Wildlife Services to anyone needing an ecology consultant. RWS will then pay a percentage of the fee to HNT.

 

Radnorshire Wildlife Consultancy Services

Radnorshire Wildlife TrustRWS is the consultancy arm of the Radnorshire Wildlife Trust. It offers a full range of ecological and landscape consultancy services in mid Wales, the Marches and beyond. We have rapidly built up a wide and challenging portfolio of projects for private and public clients. Through our staff, the staff of the Trust and through our associates we have access to a wide range of expertise. We can draw on local experience and knowledge to offer a cost-effective service of interest to land owners, other consultants, local authorities and government agencies. All profits are used to benefit wildlife conservation.

We have public liability and professional indemnity cover and are VAT registered.

Areas covered include:

  • Habitat and species surveys and monitoring
  • Assessment of development impacts including Environmental and Ecological Impact Assessments
  • BREEAM assessments
  • Advice on protected species licence requirements and site works
    Land management advice
  • Interpretation, education and training
  • Green tourism
  • Feasibility studies, research and analysis
  • Project management

In some cases we are also able to offer labour and equipment for work on sensitive sites.

Consultancy Staff

Chris Ledbury BA MSc CMLI MIEEM is the Consultancy Development Manager. He has lived and worked in Wales since 1973 and has over 35 years experience of countryside management. Chris was Head of Countryside for the Brecon Beacons National Park before taking up his current position in 2006. He has expertise in both natural and cultural heritage conservation. He is an ornithologist and keen general naturalist.

Rebecca Bohane BSc MSc MIEEM is our Project Ecologist. Rebecca is a protected species specialist with licences covering bats, dormouse, barn owl, white clawed crayfish and great crested newt. Rebecca also has extensive experience of surveys for badger, water vole, otter and reptiles, NVC, hedgerow and aquatic macrophyte surveys, and extended Phase I surveys. She has worked on Environmental Impact Assessments and on BREEAM assessment.

We also use a number of associates and sub-contractors covering specialist areas such as landscape design, lower plants and aquatic invertebrates.
